Wet Race !
---
There seems to be a growing consensus that racing will 'officially' always be followed through to Finals regardless of the weather. The challenge of controlling your model in all conditions should be part of our race calendar as it is in any motorsport and drivers can always be guaranteed a full days racing when visiting Caledonian Radio Controlled Club's RC track.
Round 3 @ Benarty 1/6/08
---
After the thrills of visiting the Falkirk Wheel for our first racing round there, we head back to Benarty to make the most of our home circuit advantage. Lap times should be closer and the competition hotter as we put the recent Benarty practice sessions to good use. Racing starts at 11am, all welcome in all classes.
Round 1 Success
---
A great turn-out combined with fantastic weather made a great backdrop to the opening round of the Caledonian Radio Controlled Club held at the Benarty RC track in Fife. The 1:10 scale classes were hard fought with Callum eventually taking the win in the nitro's, Marc took both pole and was first to the flag in the electric's Final. Great work from one of our younger members. Lets not forget Lewis who did a fantastic job of bringing a very sick sounding nitro to the finish for a sound third place. The large scale models were no less competitive with Brian across the line in first place driving his saloon and John victorious with his truck. Safe to say all our racers are as keen as ever to get to The Falkirk Wheel for our next round of racing. We will be holding a practice session on 20th April at the wheel for anyone wishing to get involved or wanting to get a feel for the new track.
New for 2008
---
Welcome to the 2008 CRCC season. The biggest development for our club this year and many to come will be the recent take-over of Benarty RC Track. Located in Fife it is one of very few purpose built facilities for racing on road models in Scotland. A challenging and exciting blend of technical and high speed sections we know it will make our racing even more exciting. Our new look website is just having the finishing touches put on it to bring you an easy to navigate, informative site that hopefully imparts some of what our club is about. Why not swing by the forum and say Hi before dropping in to the track.
Benarty Practice 30/03/08
---
With the first racing round not far away on April 13th at Benarty there aren't many chances left to get some practice laps in, and fine tune your cars set-up. April 20th will be our first run at Falkirk Wheel, make sure you get along as the Falkirk layout will be decided on that morning.
